PART 1- FINANCIAL SERVICE GUIDE

WHO WE ARE

Three parties may be involved in providing financial services to you under this FSG: the licensee, the corporate authorised representative, and your adviser.

The Licensee

ARC Wealth Pty Ltd (Licensee) holds an Australian Financial Service Licence (AFSL No: 243270) issued by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). The Licensee is responsible for the financial services provided to you by Auxilliam and any other representatives under its licence.

Auxilliam, Corporate Authorised Representative

Auxilliam, is a corporate authorised representative of the Licensee and is authorised to provide the financial services on the Licensee’s behalf as described in this FSG.

Your Financial Adviser

Your individual adviser is authorised by the Licensee to provide the financial services described in this FSG. Their full details including their authorisations, qualifications and contact information are set out in the Part 2 of this FSG – Adviser Profiles.

Statement of Independence

While ARC Wealth, Auxilliam and its authorised advisers have your ‘Best Interests’ at heart when providing advice to you, it is important that you note that as fees may be received by the Licensee from the implementation or arranging of financial products, ARC Wealth, Auxilliam and its advisers are not deemed to be ‘independent’ within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

Compensation Arrangements

The law requires the Licensee to have arrangements in place to compensate retail clients for loss or damage they suffer from certain breaches of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) by the Licensee, Auxilliam or representatives. The Licensee has professional indemnity insurance that satisfies the obligations under section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

OUR PROCESS

When we commence working with you, we take time to understand your current circumstances, your goals, your needs and what you are trying to achieve. We do this by:

Getting to Know You – We take time to understand your current situation so that we have a clear picture of your staring point.

Exploring Your Why – Understanding what is important to you and your drivers to make change, ensuring that we provide advice to you that is in your best interests.

Building Your Knowledge – Working with you to build your knowledge means that you become confident in making decisions and you know what questions to ask regarding your money.

Designing Strategies that Work for You – Not all strategies are the same and not all strategies work for everyone. It is important that your strategies are designed with your end in mind and are flexible regardless of changes to your situation.

Implementing Financial Products Relevant to Your Strategies – Not all strategies require the implementation of financial products, but where financial products are required, we provide recommendations and assist you to put in place the products to support your strategies.

Keeping on Track – Regular reviews and check ins are necessary to the success of your financial journey. It is important that you take time out to review your strategies and products so that relevant changes to your strategy and products are made as required.

Ongoing Support – Sometimes having someone on hand to talk through your money decisions with you will provide you with clarity and balance. We are here to provide coaching and mentoring so that the decisions you make are in line with your goals.

DOCUMENTS YOU MAY RECIEVE

Letter of Engagement

After our initial meeting, you will receive a Letter of Engagement outlining the agreed Scope of Advice for Your Strategy Plan.

Your Strategy Plan

Your Strategy Plan will set out the strategies that you need to implement to achieve Your Goals. The strategies included will cover the following:

  • Your Spending – this will cover the recommended changes for you to make so that you master your spending. The strategies may include strategies to enhance your income and/or also manage your expenses or outgoings.
  • Your Debt – will cover what you need to do to manage the debt that you may be carrying and how to make debt work for you.
  • Your Insurances – will cover what you need to implement to protect you, your family, and your possessions in the event of an unforeseen event occurring.
  • Your Investments – will cover what you need to put in place to achieve your goals.
  • Your Superannuation – will cover what you need to do to maximise the benefits that Superannuation can provide to you.
  • Your Estate Planning – will cover what you need to implement to ensure that the wealth that you create is managed if you are unable to manage it yourself.

Your Statements of Advice (SoA)

Your SoA will set out what you need to implement and how to implement any recommended financial products, specific to you, that are appropriate to your strategies in Your Strategy Plan. The SoA will detail the fees and costs associated with the financial products and will also detail any benefits received by Auxilliam because of you implementing the recommended products. We will maintain a copy of the advice documents you receive for seven years.

Your Records of Advice (RoA)

You may receive RoAs if we provide advice to you, but your situation and circumstances have not significantly changed. We will maintain a copy of the advice documents you receive for seven (7) years.

Product Disclosure Statements (PDS) or Investor Directed Portfolio Services (IDPS)

When we recommend or arrange for a financial product to be issued to you, we will make available a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) or an Investor Directed Portfolio Service (IDPS) Guide, where relevant. These documents contain the key features of the recommended product including its risks and benefits as well as the costs that you will pay to the product provider to professionally manage your investment or insurance. You should ensure that you read any warnings contained in Your Strategy Plan, Your Statements of Advice and the PDS or IDPS guide carefully before making any decision relating to the product.

AUXILLIAM’S REMUNERATION ARRANGEMENTS

The following explains the remuneration we may receive from the advice services provided to you.

Initial Fees for our Advice

Auxilliam charges fees that are payable upfront to plan and prepare Your Strategy Plan. In some circumstances these fees can be paid by payment plan. The fees charged encompass the preparation and delivery of Your Strategy Plan and Your SoA.

Ongoing Fee Arrangements

If your adviser has an ongoing fee arrangement with you, they are required to seek your written consent each year to continue the arrangement and to deduct ongoing fees from your account.

Your adviser will contact you around the anniversary of your arrangement to seek your consent. They will provide you with information about the services you’ll receive, the fees you’ll pay, and confirm that you can terminate the arrangement at any time. You have up to 150 days after your anniversary date to provide your consent.

If you do not provide written consent within the required timeframe, your adviser must stop charging fees and the arrangement will terminate. You always have the right to cancel your ongoing fee arrangement at any time by providing written notice to your adviser.

Additional Fees

Additional fees may be charged when work that is done for you is outside the ongoing service provided above. For example, additional fees may be charged when changes are made to strategies or further SoAs are required for the provision of advice. Again, we will obtain written consent from you prior to charging these additional fees and performing this additional work.

Payments from Life Insurance Products

Initial and ongoing commissions may be received by Auxilliam. These commissions are paid to Auxilliam by the Life Insurer that issues the product to you, as recommended by your adviser. The commissions vary and are based on the policy cost, which is the sum of the premiums you pay plus other fees that may be related to the product.

The initial commission is paid in the first year by the product issuer to Auxilliam. Ongoing commissions are payments paid by the product issuers to Auxilliam in subsequent years.

If there is an increase to your insurance cover Auxilliam may receive initial and ongoing commissions on the increase to the policy cost. The ongoing commission on the increase is only paid from the first anniversary of the increase. Conversely, if there is a decrease to your cover then the ongoing commissions to Auxilliam will reduce.

If the initial commission is equal to the ongoing commission as a percentage of your policy costs, Auxilliam may receive up to 20% (excluding GST) of your policy costs. If the initial commission is higher than the ongoing commission, then the maximum commission that Auxilliam may receive as initial commission is 60% of your policy cost and ongoing commission will be 20% of your policy costs.

Should you cancel any recommended life policies within twelve (12) months of implementation, any initial commission will be recovered from Auxilliam by the product providers, and we reserve the right to recover any costs from you to cover our out-of-pocket expenses.

Details of how your policy cost is calculated can be found in the relevant PDS we provide to you. You will also find details of the commission that Auxilliam receives if you decide to purchase a life insurance product in the relevant SoA or RoA.

Payment Methods

We receive payments for our services as:

  • Your Wealth Strategy Program Fees which are paid directly, by you, the client;
  • Commissions paid by product providers;
  • Other payments paid by product providers; and
  • Other benefits.

Details of any fees, commissions or other benefits that we, Auxilliam or other associated persons are entitled to receive, if you implement our recommendations, in relation to a specific financial product, will be disclosed to you in your SoA or RoA when personal advice is given.

Distribution of Fees to the AFSL Holder

The Licensee receives either a flat fee or may retain between 0% -25% of Auxilliam’s fees and of all adviser remuneration, plus a professional indemnity insurance fee for the provision of services required under its AFSL.

Payments to Other Professionals

A third party may receive a fee should you be referred to us by the third party. Any referral fee that we pay will be disclosed to you in your SoA or RoA.

Payments from Other Professionals

You may be referred to an external professional service to receive further specialist advice. Any referral fee or commission received for introducing you to the specialist will be disclosed in your advice documents.

Other benefits

Sometimes in the process of providing advice and other financial services, Auxilliam or your adviser may receive benefits from product providers such as sponsorship of events, subsidised educational conferences, rebates, bonuses, preferred product rates or other fees.

Non-monetary benefits

These benefits are discretionary in nature and relate to future events. It is therefore not possible to provide an estimated dollar value on these benefits at this point in time.

Advisers may receive benefits from associated Licensee companies or product providers such as:

  • Educational conferences and seminars;
  • IT software or support; and
  • Non-monetary benefits such as business lunches, tickets to sporting and cultural events, or other minor benefits.

However, these benefits cannot be accepted on a frequent or regular basis or over the value of $300. Each adviser must keep a register of benefits received. If you would like to see a copy of our registers, you can contact us or your adviser directly.

How do we protect your privacy?

Auxilliam is committed to protecting your privacy. The purpose of our Privacy Policy is to ensure that you understand the ways in which we collect, maintain use, and disclose your personal information and how we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We and your adviser maintain a record of your personal profile that includes, your personal information, details of your investment objectives, financial situation and needs.
